Ohio has some amazing locations for weddings. If you are looking for something other than a traditional church wedding, you might consider having your wedding in the natural beauty of a
resort park, at a
romantic. Southern-style plantation, or even in a medieval castle. All three are creative wedding locations found in the heart of Ohio.
Ravenwood Castle and Medieval Village
Ravenwood Castle and Medieval Village is near Hocking Hills, south of Columbus. This unique hotel will rent out the entire castle and grounds, including the medieval village of shops and fairytale cottages, for an entire weekend. Up to 45 guests can stay from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon on the property. The wedding party and guests can choose from a selection of beautiful cottages and castle rooms, most with whirlpools tubs. The continental breakfast is complimentary. The wedding takes place on Saturday afternoon either inside the castle's Great Hall or on the grounds, your choice. For the reception, the castle provides a dinner menu and a wedding cake. A chilled bottle of champagne or sparkling fruit juice is provided for the Wedding Toast, and two souvenir Ravenwood etched champagne flutes are given the the happy couple. The location is picturesque and ideal for traditional and fairytale weddings.

Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center
Indoor and outdoor weddings at Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center, near Columbus, have a beautiful natural backdrop. On-staff wedding planners help couples design their ideal wedding package, from the ceremony through the reception. Special custom cuisine is designed for each event. The reception area includes the dance floor, head table, gift table, DJ table, guest tables, white tablecloths and napkins. There is even a honeymoon suite at the resort. Parties can be as large as 250 guests.

A Georgian Manner
A Georgian Manner is a large bed and breakfast near Hocking Hills. The manor is designed after the elegant Southern manors in the South. Beautifully decorated, A Georgian Manner is a romantic setting any time of the year, and makes a wonderful backdrop for weddings. Wedding packages range from one-hour ceremonies to renting the entire B&B for a weekend. Included in all packages are the bride's bouquet, groom's boutonniere, officiant and 24 photos. Indoor weddings accommodate up to 25 guests, and outdoor weddings up to 125 guests. Some packages include both the ceremony and reception.
