Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and should be followed by an amazing retreat with your new spouse. Whether you decide on a destination wedding or are planning a honeymoon following the ceremony, picking a honeymoon location is one of your most important wedding decisions. Here are some wedding and honeymoon hot spots sure to excite.
Lake Tahoe, California or Nevada
One of the bluest lakes in the United States, Lake Tahoe is the perfect destination to become one with nature. The lake is surrounded by the snow-covered Sierra Nevada Mountains in the winter and its lush green pines in the summer. Plan your ceremony at Zephyr's Cove or cozy up with your loved one on the ski slopes. This mountain destination is the perfect hideaway. If you're looking for a little nightlife or gambling, check out the Nevada resorts to round out your trip.
Maui, Hawaii
What bride wouldn't love to walk down a white sand aisle wearing a flowing white dress with a hibiscus in her hair? Or take a week to snorkel, drink Pina Coladas and ride horses on the beach? All this is possible with a wedding or honeymoon in Maui. The best time to visit is April through October, which is the island's dry season.

Where's the best place to plan your fairytale wedding? A castle, of course. With castles in Scotland, Ireland and Italy, your destination wedding will be an event none of your guests will forget. And if you're thinking about Europe as a honeymoon location, stay at a quaint English cottage or sail the Greek Isles. With a continent so rich in history, you can't go wrong.
