The Gold Hill Hotel is one of the most historical buildings in Virginia City, Nevada. Since 1859, the building has been a boarding house and a private residence. It has been owned as a hotel several times throughout its long history. As of 2009, the hotel is still operational, and patrons have claimed to witness several apparitions, including a young woman named Rosie; she is believed to be a ghost and a prostitute from the hotel's earlier days. People who stay in room 4 are said to meet this ghostly lady of the night.

It was built over an abandoned gold mine in the early 1900's. It is rumored that room 109 is haunted by the apparition of a pregnant woman.
