Things to See in Vegas
Las Vegas is a huge city known mostly for gambling, but there's much more to Sin City than just sin. There are culture, entertainment, food and shopping opportunities. If you found all the cool things to do in Vegas, you'd have a hard time packing everything into one trip. Fortunately though, there are some crucial activities that every Vegas visitor must do at least once.

Everyone is familiar with the stunning white tigers owned by Siegfried and Roy, but not everyone is hip to the fact that you can see these stunning beasts for free just by stopping by the Mirage Hotel. On top of the famed white tigers, you can also see lions, elephants, panthers, leopards and dolphins. Some of these animals are only on exhibit in the Secret Garden, which has an admission fee.
The animals can be found inside the Mirage Hotel:

There are so many shows to see in Vegas that it is impossible to suggest only one. While Cirque du Soleil is always a popular choice, there are also full cabaret shows, comedy routines, magic shows and concerts appearing nightly in the city. There's always something going on, so check the Internet before you go to see what your options are.

One of the most magical aspects of the Las Vegas Strip is the detail put into the themed hotels. Nowhere else in the world allows you to step out of New York and walk right into Paris. There's ancient Rome, the pharaoh's Egypt, Hollywood and Italy. Just walking through all of the hotels is like a six continent world-tour that not only transcends space, but also time.
Be sure to see the strip at night to fully appreciate all of this world and definitely stop by the Treasure Island Hotel and the Mirage to see their respective pirate show and exploding volcano.
The entire strip is located on:
Las Vegas Blvd. South

The Neon Museum, also known as the Boneyard of Las Vegas, is a good stop for those who like to go off the beaten path. This somewhat unknown gem of Vegas history hosts the strip's removed neon and light signs. Famous signs include those identifying The Stardust and Golden Nugget. Tours are available by request, so call ahead if you are interested in this unique tourist stop.

Long ago, Fremont Street was the highlight of Vegas. After the Strip hit it big with the crowds, this area started to become run down and largely ignored. Fortunately, a $70 million renovation in 1995 breathed new life into this historical side of Vegas.
Here you will find nightly light shows and some of the most famous neon lights including the well-known Las Vegas cowboy. It's a classic attraction.
