Williamsburg is a city in southeastern Virginia, on the Virginia Peninsula. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state as well as in the
United States because of Colonial Williamsburg, which is a historic district full of buildings from the 1700s. Williamsburg is both a fun and educational tourist destination, and there are plenty of things to do and see while there. If you are planning to be there during the winter month of January, never fear, because there are many ways to enjoy your experience--indoors.

There are guided tours of the winery, with fun features such as a free wine-tasting class and complimentary samples of several varieties of wines. This winery is quintessentially Williamsburg.

Courthouse of 1770
The Courthouse of 1770 is in Colonial Williamsburg and was the first courthouse built in the area. This courthouse is historically relevant because the Declaration of Independence was read here. It served as the area's courthouse for more than 150 years, until 1932. Nowadays, it is an archaeological exhibit. With its vibrant Market Square location, it has been one of the most prominent structures in Williamsburg for decades.
