Far Flung Outdoor Center is a fun-loving entertainment and recreational facility for the whole family, located in Terlingua. Many guided tours are available from Far Flung Outdoor Center, among them taking jeep tours (passing lava domes all the way up to the top of a mountain), exploring the frontier scenery on any of the exciting river tours (if spanning 72 miles of the picturesque Rio Grande by canoe sounds appealing to you, this is the activity to choose) and much more.

Barton Warnock Environmental Education Center
The Barton Warnock Environmental Education Center spans 99.9 acres and has been in existence since 1982. This is an interesting environmental center to visit if you want to learn about the Chihuahuan desert's various types of biological landscapes and the region's diverse geological past. If the Big Bend region's natural and archaeological history interests you, this is the attraction to visit while in Terlingua. There is also a beautiful botanical garden (two acres) where visitors can enjoy self-guided tours.

Terlingua Starlight Theatre
The Terlingua Starlight Theatre has a lovely Texas charm and its epitomizes the city's mining history. It is a fun loving place to enjoy Texan-style cuisine and live entertainment. It is a good place to listen to authentic Texas music. In existence since 1991, this theatre has a menu that serves up regional favorites including wild boar sausage, chili con queso, pork chops, ribeye, venison burger, meatball subs, buffalo burgers and much more.

Terlingua Trading Company Bookstore
The Terlingua Trading Company Bookstore is a vast shop that has the largest selection of titles in Texas' southern Brewster County. There are many books that reflect the culture and the heritage of the area, from books about the city's legendary chili cook-offs to historical volumes detailing Texas' Big Bend region's occupation. There are hundreds of books about the Big Bend area as well as Terlingua as a city.
