Things to Do in Southern Ohio
Northern Ohio is filled with industrial cities and the cultural institutions those companies wrought. However, southern Ohio has a number of scenic, fun and interesting things to do, from the Ohio River towns of Marietta and Cincinnati to the scenic beauty of the Hocking Hills. Below are just a few things to do in southern Ohio.
Explore Cincinnati
Cincinnati, the "Queen City," sits along the Ohio River in the farthest southwestern portion of the state. Among the many things to see in the city are the Cincinnati Art Museum, the National Underground Railway Museum and the numerous steamships that call at Cincinnati during the warmer months.
Visit Old Man's Cave
Old Man's Cave is a state park located in the Hocking Hills of southeastern Ohio. The park takes its name from the dramatic rock formation atop the park's largest cave---a rock that resembles the profile of a man. Visitors can hike the many trails, have a picnic or just sit and contemplate the lovely setting.
