Things to Do in Southern California for Halloween

Halloween is a fun holiday to celebrate for people of all ages. Besides trick-or-treating, there are lots of things to do in Southern California. Many places cater to an older crowd so they too can dress up and enjoy the festivities of the day. Southern California is the perfect place to celebrate Halloween because the weather is still nice and all the normal attractions make a transformation to take on the holiday theme.

Old Town Pasadena

Downtown Pasadena turns into a haunted ghost town come late September. It's a scary maze of buildings you can walk through and tour where real ghosts have been seen and everything, even the buildings themselves have mysterious pasts. If you like ghost hunting and scary stories, this could be a fun trip for you. Walk around and take it all in...if you dare. Located in downtown Pasadena every year. The website www.oldtownhaunt.com has all the information regarding dates, rates and times.

Six Flags Fright Fest

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia turns into a scary place where mazes are set up, people walk around in monster costumes ready to scare and some of the rides are all mixed up. In fact, a couple roller coasters actually run backwards during Fright Fest to give riders even more to scream about. But what makes it most unique is the "Wheel of Fright." People can spin the wheel and whatever it lands on, they have to eat to win the prize. All the points of the wheel are insects and if the person successfully eats the live insect, they get a prize such as a front of the line pass or free tickets. Tickets and park information can be found on the website http://www.sixflags.com/national/index.aspx
