St. George is located in Washington County in the southwestern portion of Utah. St. George is a popular tourist destination, in part because of its fascinating geology. There's no shortage of things to see and do.
St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site
The St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site is located at Johnson Farm, and it features some of the planet's best preserved dinosaur tracks. Within 10 acres, approximately 1,000 different dinosaur tracks have been discovered since 2000. The majority of the tracks were made by creatures resembling the dilophosaurus. The tracks were made in large sandstone slabs that go back about 205 million years to the earliest part of the dinosaur period.
