Lincoln Park Zoo

Take a short jaunt to the north downtown and visit one of America's best zoos. Hear roaring lions and watch gorillas frolic in their enclosures. Cool off on a warm summer day in the penguin house and see King, Chinstrap and Rockhopper penguins. See one of the largest polar bear exhibits in the world and observe polar bears through underwater windows.

John Hancock Observatory

Ride an elevator to the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center and look out over all of Chicagoland. See all the way to Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan on clear days. Feel the wind on an open air skywalk. Tour the History Wall and learn about Chicago's past. Grab a cup of coffee in the Lavazza Cafe at the observatory.

Navy Pier

Visit the most famous pier on Chicago's north side to ride a 150-foot Ferris wheel. Play miniature golf or ride a musical carousel. Listen to band music in the Beer Garden. Attend a play in the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Or take a boat cruise along the Chicago lakefront.

Art Institute of Chicago

Visit the Art Institute of Chicago, one of America's top art museums. View the works of John Singer Sargent, Edward Hopper and other renowned American painters. Chicago Botanic Garden

Stroll through the Chicago Botanic Garden and see water lilies in bloom in the aquatic garden. The 385-acre garden is situated on nine islands surrounded by lakes. Admire the bonsai collection and the English oak meadow. Stop in the Japanese garden and the rose garden.
