Myrtle Beach has much more to offer than just the beach.
Myrtle
beach is the largest city on South Carolina's Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of white sand beach along the Palmetto State's northeastern coast. But there's a lot more to do in Myrtle Beach than just go to the beach. Golf, putt-putt, musical theaters, amusement parks, fishing, shopping and a floating casino are just some of the entertainment options that await visitors.
Golf
Myrtle Beach is a golfer's paradise with more than 100 area courses from which to choose. Some, such as the Azalea Sands Golf Club, are popular with families and beginning golfers. Others, such as Blackmoor Golf Club, The Barefoot resort and King's North Golf Club, were designed by PGA Tour professionals. World Tour Golf Links replicates some of the most famous golf courses around the world.

State Parks
The Myrtle Beach area has two state parks: Huntington Beach State Park and Myrtle Beach State Park.
Huntington Beach State Park is home to Atalaya, a Spanish-style castle and former winter home and studio of sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. The park has the best preserved beach in the area and is one of the best birding sites along the East Coast.

Shopping
Shoppers have plenty of choices in Myrtle Beach, from outlet malls to specialty shops to big gift shops. Barefoot Landing is popular and features a man-made lake and bridges. It has plenty of specialty shops, night clubs and restaurants. Dick's Last Resort is a fun place to eat, but only if you don't mind purposely surly waiters and waitresses. Broadway at the Beach has more than 100 shops. It is surrounded by nightclubs and hotels. There are two Tanger Outlets in the Myrtle Beach area.
