The Alpine Antique Auto and Buggy Museum is open 7 days a week and hosts a wonderful collection of unusual buggies and cars. If antique cars, wagons, horse-drawn buggies and carriages from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries are of interest to you, you will be mesmerized at this unusual museum. Some of the automobiles on exhibit at this museum are also for sale.

Helen Waterpark

The Helen Waterpark is a great family-oriented recreational tourist attraction, particularly for families with smaller children. From tubing adventures to massive water slides and wading pools, this is a relaxing and fun place for people of all ages. Be sure to go tubing (known as "tubin' the Hooch") while at the park, and you will enjoy the scenery of the beautiful Chattahooche River.

Habersham Winery and Vineyard

The Habersham Winery and Vineyard is one of the oldest wineries in Georgia. This winery is open 7 days a week and offers free tastings and tours. The tasting room features a wide array of different wines, and there is also an extensive gift shop on the premises featuring wine-oriented gift items (such as wine baskets) and gourmet foods. This winery is located in quaint Nacoochee Village, where there is an old grist mill and antiques shopping.

Dukes Creek Falls Trail

Dukes Creek Falls Trail is a wonderful scenic route to go hiking while in Helen. This trail is composed of three switchbacks that go down to waterfalls. Dukes Creek has several water cascades. The area is rife with history, as Hernando DeSoto touched upon the area back in 1540, and one of his crew came back again in 1560 for gold mining purposes. If you enjoy watching nature (especially waterfalls), then Dukes Creek Falls Trail will make for an exciting hiking trek for you.

Alpine Amusement Park

The Alpine Amusement Park is full of different rides and attractions, including a bumper boat pool and go-karts. There are also a lot of rides that offer a hint of old-time nostalgia, such as the Tilt-a-Whirl and Ferris wheel. If you like miniature golf, there is a miniature golf course that has 18 holes. Children will have a great time at this leisurely theme park (there are five kiddie rides). Check out the miniature frame display depicting the time period just before World War II.
