beach is located in the southwestern part of Florida in Lee County. This small beachside community provides recreational opportunities for residents of the five-county region of
Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, Glades and Lee. The
beaches of Lee County attract tourists from around the world. Within a short drive of Fort Myers Beach are the archaeological sites of Mound Key and Seven Seas.
Pool Recreation
Recent improvements to the Fort Myers Beach Community Pool have made it ideal for visitors. This aquatic facility includes a heated lap pool with a water slide, children's water features and a large deck area. The pool is located next to a community park with recreational fields and a playground. As you drive along the main drag called San Carlos Boulevard from the north, you will see a sign for the community pool on the left side of the road.

Times Square
A famous feature and busy area on the north end of Fort Myers Beach is Times Square. This small district of restaurants, bars and outfitters features mosaic sidewalks and close proximity to the town fishing pier. On a busy day, visitors might watch street performers, get a hair wrap or have their sketch made by a cartoonist.
Times Square and the beach area attract visitors of all backgrounds in their beach or casual attire. Throughout the day and evening, visitors hear music on the beach played by the disc jockey or band at Top-o-Mast, a beachfront restaurant and bar.
Within a few steps of Times Square is the beach. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, collecting shells, walking on the beach, renting a WaveRunner, SunFish, or sailboat by the hour or by the day, and parasailing. Another option is to rent bicycles and ride along the strip. Beach equipment rentals depend on seasonal availability.
Boat Charters
Visitors can hire private boat charters on many parts of the barrier island known as Fort Myers Beach. An easy place to park and schedule a charter is the Pink Shell Fort Myers Beach Hotel resort and Spa located north of Times Square. The resort faces the inland waterway on the northeast side of the barrier island. Boat charters can transport small and large parties for local boat tours or deep sea fishing excursions.
