Findlay is a city in Hancock County, Ohio. The city's official nickname is "Flag City USA" because one of its residents, John B. Cooke, had the idea that every Findlay residence fly an American flag on June 14th, which is Flag Day. Ghost Town Museum Park

The Ghost Town Museum Park in Findlay is a replica of a village from the 1880s, and not particularly a ghost town. The museum park is full of vitality and has an antiques museum and puts on events on a regular basis. There are over twenty-five rebuilt buildings on the premises, including a general store, barber shop and a bank, all with detailed historical exhibits, displays, relics and artifacts. The Ghost Town Museum Park puts on an arts and crafts show every year.

Hancock Historical Museum

The Hancock Historical Museum details a lot of the history of the region, of Findlay itself as well as Hancock County in Ohio. There are a lot of exhibits at this museum, including ones on Hancock County and Native Americans, geology, the War of 1812, agriculture, the pioneering life in Ohio, and much more. The museum has many archives full of documents and images relating to the area's cultural history.

Hancock County Courthouse

The Hancock County Courthouse is a member of the National Register of Historic Places. This courthouse was constructed in the early 19th century by an architect called William Taylor. It is not in use as a courthouse these days, but as a popular social, recreation and community center. It is one of the most prominent and well-known building structures in Findlay.

Fort Recovery State Memorial

Fort Recovery was the location of two extremely significant battles, one in 1791 with the Miami Indians (with many casualties) and the other in 1794 with General Wayne. The Fort Recovery State Memorial is an important historical site in Findlay, featuring replicas of blockhouses that would resemble the original ones. Fort Recovery State Memorial also has a museum that has displays and exhibits on the area's history.
