Things to Do in Chicago in the Winter

Winters can be brutal in the Windy City. They can also be beautiful. Let's get this out of the way. Temperature regularly fall into the single digits and a harsh wind known as "The Hawk" blows off Lake Michigan and delivers a nasty blow to those who are hearty enough to brave the cold temperatures. However, there are some lovely winter days as well, when the temperatures stay in the 30s and the wind is minimal. There are many activities that a Chicagoan or a visitor can take part in during the coldest season.

The exhibits include brilliantly-worded explanations that allow those who aren't scientists to feel as if they know quite a bit more about the subject when they finish their visit.
