Things to Do in Chicago in July

Visiting Chicago in the summer offers many activities and events to keep you occupied and entertained. There are a variety of things to do in the month of July alone. Whether you're looking for great food, fireworks or live music, Chicago has something for you to do and enjoy.
Taste Of Chicago

The Taste Of Chicago is the largest annual event in Chicago and runs from June 26 to July 5 every year. The festival offers more than 200 menu items from more than 50 restaurants to be tasted and enjoyed. The Taste Of Chicago also features free entertainment, activities and amusement rides. There are cooking demonstrations and live music. If you attend the Taste Of Chicago on July 3, you will be treated to a fireworks display for the eve of July 4.

Venetian Night

Venetian Night is an annual event that takes place on July 25 and is the oldest- running event sponsored by the city of Chicago. There are around 35 boats that are decorated with props and lights that sail along Lake Michigan during Venetian Night. After the boat parade, which is inspired by the boat parades in Venice, Italy, there is a fireworks display and music.

Old St. Pat's World's Largest Block Party

Old St. Pat's World's Largest Block Party is held every year on July 10 and 11. The block party offers food and live music and is attended by more than 25,000 people each year. Old St. Pat's World's Largest Block Party also claims that more than 70 couples have met at their event and were later married. Proceeds from the block party support Old St. Pat's Church, which is a historic landmark and Chicago's oldest public building.

Wicker Park Fest

The Wicker Park Fest is an annual street festival that takes place on July 25 and 26. The festival offers live music with indie bands performing on both days of the event. There are arts and crafts vendors and good local cuisine is offered. Wicker Park Fest is hosted by the Wicker Park & Bucktown Chamber Of Commerce.
