Lake Tahoe is a popular natural tourist attraction that is located around the border of the states of Nevada and California. Lake Tahoe is popular with tourists because of its rich natural beauty, historical sites and recreational activities (fishing, hiking, camping and many others). If you are planning to visit Lake Tahoe and the areas around it, there will be no shortage of fun things to do and see.
Water Sports
Water sports are a fun recreational activity to engage in while at Lake Tahoe. Jet skiing, parasailing and riding power boats are popular water sports that many people like to try while in Lake Tahoe. In Lake Tahoe, if you have the right technology, jet skiing is legal. Parasailing is an excellent way to enjoy the splendor of Lake Tahoe. Dry take off and landing are preferred when parasailing. Power boats are an adventurous and exhilarating way to see the sights of the lake. A good company to consider for equipment rental is located at Timber Cove Marina and is called Action Watersports.

Hot Air Balloons
Hot air balloon rides are majestic ways to fly over both Lake Tahoe and the stunning Carson Valley region. Lake Tahoe hot air balloon rides generally leave after sunrise (to ensure cool air and calm winds). The elevations range between 4,200 feet and 6,200 feet (both above sea level). This activity is safe for children. The balloons have FAA certification. If you want to explore the Lake Tahoe area from above, hot air balloons are the way to go.

Then you arrive at the Deck, which is an observation area where you can get exquisite panoramic views of the Carson Valley, Lake Tahoe (from shore to shore) and the Desolation Wilderness.
