Sugarbush History

The ski scene on the East Coast has its own spot to rival the likes of Aspen and Vail. Sugarbush, Vermont offers some of the best skiing and summertime golf available.
Significance

When opened by partners Damon and Sara Gadd and Jack Murphy, the only thought on their minds was to provide a place for people to ski and receive the full mountain experience. Sugarbush boasts some of the best-known skiing in the northeast and has become one of the best-known spots in Vermont.

Geography

Located near Mt. Ellen Vermont, Sugarbush is surround by some of the best skiing terrain in the Northeast. The resort resides in a valley, known as Mad River Valley. Only a 45-minute drive, Burlington International is the nearest airport. Sugarbush can be easily accessed from I-89 or I-87, via route 100.

Features

Sugarbush prides itself in providing a full mountain experience. The award winning golf course is operated by Ron Philo, Jr., the PGA of America's 2006 National Champion. At a height of 800 feet, the Sugarbush Zipline offers a scenic view of the Lincoln Peak Base area.

Dining

Dining options at Sugarbush, are spread out throughout Mad River Valley, offering a choice for every taste. Choices include Timbers (upscale), Hogan's Pub, The Pitcher Inn, The Common Man, Terra Rosa and Miguel's Stowaway Restaurant.

Accommodations

From B and B to inn rooms and condominiums, Sugarbush has a multitude of accommodations. The Sugarbush Inn has 42 rooms, while a plethora of condominiums darn the landscape. Recently built, the Clay Brook Luxury Hotel and Residences has 61 beautiful rooms.
