Boston's Freedom Trail is one of the most fun and educating adventures in the
United States, helping tens of thousands of visitors each year to learn more about the founding of the country. The Freedom Trail winds through the streets of modern Boston. It starts at the visitor center at Boston Common. It passes by many sites, including the Old North Church and Paul Revere's home in the North End. It ends at the Bunker Hill Monument and the U.S.S. Constitution that is anchored at a nearby pier where the Charles River meets Boston Harbor. Many hotels are located near various parts of the Freedom Trail.
John Hancock Hotel and Conference Center
Popular Boston Common has been the center of Boston life for 400 years.
Located on a quiet corner in the Copley Square area of downtown Boston, the John Hancock Hotel and Conference Center is about one mile from the Freedom Trail. Situated along the Charles River, it is close to Newbury Street, Boston Common and Public Garden. It has 64 guest rooms that are referred to as intimate (translation: small).

Shawmut Inn
The Shawmut Inn is a recently renovated property near the TD Banknorth Garden, Boston's sports and entertainment arena. If you haven't been to the city for a number of years but have a memory of Boston Garden, this arena is located near the site of Boston Garden.
The hotel is within a five-minute walk of about a dozen restaurants. Each room includes a kitchenette. It is on the west side of I-93 and near to the North End (Old North Church and Paul Revere's home), which is filled with Boston's finest Italian restaurants. The walk to reach the North End community is slightly longer and you will need to cross main roads and dodge heavy city traffic to reach the area.

Chandler Inn Hotel
Faneuil Hall Marketplace is located in the heart of historic downtown Boston.
The Chandler Inn Hotel is a boutique facility in Boston's historic South End. It is a few blocks away from Boston Common and the beginning of The Freedom Trail. Shopping can be found nearby along Newbury Street. Restaurants also are near on Tremont Street.
The Chandler Inn is small hotel that is housed in a building dating from the early 1900's. It offers 55 guest rooms, with each featuring a private bath. Parking is available but it is three blocks away.
