The Cathedral of the Madeleine is the seat of the Catholic Church of Utah. The first dedication was in 1909, and after a renovation, it was rededicated in 1993. This cathedral is the Roman Catholic parish for Salt Lake City. In addition to regular services, the church serves through community outreach, seminars, lectures and weddings. While visiting the Cathedral of the Madeleine, you might enjoy staying in one of the four-star hotels nearby.

The 225 suites and guest rooms at the Hotel Monaco use Frette linens and offer free wireless Internet access, laundry and valet service,a minibar, gourmet treats, fully stocked refrigerator, leopard-print bathrobes, complimentary shoeshines and a morning newspaper delivered to your door. Hotel Monaco has a number of "tall" rooms with extra-long beds and high shower heads. Pets are welcome, but there are pet-free rooms available. For guests who didn't bring their pets but would like some company during their stay, the hotel will provide a goldfish upon request. Hilton Salt Lake City Center
Each of the 499 rooms at this Hilton features down comforters, "Touch of Down" pillows and custom bed throws.
