If you are looking for an all-suite hotel in the Disney theme park area of
Orlando, Florida, The Springhill Suites Marriot Village may have what you are looking for. Each room at this hotel is a studio suite. Rooms feature a sofa-bed and either a king size bed or two double size beds. Rooms also include cable television, mini refrigerators and microwave ovens. Complimentary continental breakfast and Internet access are supplied by the hotel.
Wows and Woes
The hotel has an on-site food court that always comes in handy. Another nice feature is the hotel's 24-hour game room. A fitness center is also available for guests.
If your room faces the pool you are in for a few sleepless nights as the pool gets extremely loud after dark. Also, the on-site laundry facility is inadequate because there are not enough machines to accommodate a large number of guests. The dryers are weak at best; it takes quite a bit of time to dry one load of clothing.
Insider Tips
If you are a smoker this hotel is not for you because this property is totally smoke-free. Try one of the other surrounding hotels.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
I was so disappointed when I arrived at the Springhill Suites. The website made it look better than it actually was. The rooms are in need of a renovation. Although the rooms are large, the furniture and linens are pretty old. This place is on the low end of the Marriott chain.
Bottom Line
I expected more from a Marriott property. This is not an awful hotel, but it surely is not a five-star resort. This place is just acceptable, nothing special.
