Founded in 1884, Tacoma is the third largest city in Washington and is approximately 34 miles south of
Seattle. Tacoma has many attractions for tourists, incuding the Children's Museum of Tacoma, the Tacoma Art Museum, the Chihuly Bridge of Glass, the Dupont Historical Museum and Emerald Queen Casino. Visitors to the area also have a wide variety of dining options to choose from, including Spanish restaurants.
Matador Tacoma
Matador is a chain of six Spanish restaurants found in Washington and Oregon. The Tacoma location is only three blocks from the Children's Museum of Tacoma. The appetizer and entrees at Tacoma combines Spanish cuisine with Tex-Mex. An example is the grilled prawns served with a sauce made from Mexican tomatillos and Spanish Serrano ham and served over Spanish annotti rice. Another is the signature Matador firehouse chili that features Mexican staples like chipotle peppers and black beans as well as imported Spanish chorizo sausage. The bar serves over 60 varieties of tequila, five margaritas and traditional Spanish red and white sangria. Matador Tacoma is open daily for lunch and dinner. The dress code is casual.
