Seattle is comprised of different communities that have expanded over time since the city of Seattle annexed a group of towns between 1905 and 1910. Areas such as Puget Sound, Tacoma and Renton are since considered part of the larger community that is South Seattle. Seattle having a robust economy and home to diverse cultures has a variety of Indian cuisine in many communities. Indian restaurants of South Seattle include North and South Indian cuisine as well as vegetarian and non-vegetarian prepared dishes.
Pabla Indian Cuisine
Pabla Indian cuisine has been serving vegetarian Indian dishes since 1998 in Renton. After 2001, Pabla received kosher certification from the Va'ad HaRabanim of Seattle. The restaurant is located in the Renton shopping center along with Pabla's grocery store selling fresh curries, kosher spices, masala, sweets and chutney. Pabla Indian Cuisine additionally provides catering and dinner delivery services. The restaurant is open for dinner and serves a lunch buffet seven days a week.

Gateway to India
Gateway to India is a casual family restaurant located in Tacoma, Washington serving authentic Northern Indian cuisine since 1997. The restaurant serves a lunch buffet Tuesday through Saturdays. A separate takeout menu also is available. Dishes from the restaurant and takeout menus are priced moderately. The menus offer a vast selection of traditional Indian Tandoori, Byrani, vegetarian and meat dishes consisting of seafood and lamb.

Mayuri Indian Cuisine
Mayuri Indian Cuisine offers both freshly prepared North and South Indian cuisine. The choice of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes is available in the lunch and dinner menus. A buffet lunch is served weekdays, and on weekends a full-course weekend brunch is available. Mayuri also caters for group events and parties.
