Some of the country's best seafood can be found in southeast Florida.
The southeast area of Florida is comprised of such cities as Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Homestead, Boca Raton, Pembroke Pines and Kendall. In addition to these large cities and quaint communities, southeast Florida also consists of Florida's Turnpike, which is a major thoroughfare through the state, and Interstate 595, also known as Port Everglades Expressway. While there are numerous sights to see and beaches to relax on, there are also many seafood restaurants in this area.
Red Fish Grill

If you have seen "There's Something About Mary," you have already peeked into one of the most talked about seafood restaurants in southeast Florida. The Red Fish Grill is a "special occasion" seafood restaurant in Coral Gables known for the exquisite food preparation and friendly service. Sit in the old dining room or outside under the palm trees next to the fresh sea air. After dinner, take a walk around the lagoon by moonlight to help digest the food and wine. Red Fish Grill has an extensive wine list and full service bar, and some of the restaurant's specialties are the grilled marinated mahi mahi, Chilean sea bass and the soy-infused grilled grouper.

Bonefish Grill

Bonefish Grill is a little less casual and a little dressier than some of the neighborhood pubs and seafood places in southeast Florida. Open seven days a week beginning at 4 p.m., the Bonefish Grill has specials every night, which range from fillet of fish burger to Kate's wild north Atlantic haddock with feta and artichokes, and there is Jamaica coconut pie for desert. The restaurant has a wide variety of wine recommendations to complement each dish it serves, as well as a full bar for those not interested in wine. Happy hour specials and drink specials make the Bonefish Grill the place to meet friends or business associates after a long day at work, or a place to take your significant other during the weekend.
