Scottsdale Arizona Tourism
Once known as the west's most western town, present day Scottsdale is a haven for the chic, trendy and happening crowd. However, you don't have to leave the kids at home. Scottsdale also provides special amenities designed for family
vacations.
Accommodations
Scottsdale is famous for its beautifully landscaped sprawling resorts
The Scottsdale area has numerous five star resort properties, but you'll also find popular mid-priced hotels. Amenities include on-site luxury spas, golf and day camps for the kids.
Activities
Scottsdale truly is a golfer's paradise.
Take a hot air balloon ride above the desert or a jeep tour into the nearby rugged mountains. Play golf at one of the area's 200 courses.
Climate
Scottsdale's desert landscape is beautiful, including the Saguaro cactus and other native plants
Scottsdale lies in a desert, but don't be fooled. Nights can get a bit chilly during the winter.
Transportation
Free trolleys are available to transport you through the Old Town area only
As the metro area of Scottsdale is geographically spread out--and public transportation is limited--a rental car is recommended to enjoy all that Scottsdale has to offer.
Must Sees
Numerous mountain areas in and around Scottsdale provide spectacular views of the area
Old Town Scottsdale is a southwestern shopping experience beyond compare. Also, take a short drive half-way up Camelback or Mummy Mountain to take in spectacular views of the Valley of the Sun.
