Not all restaurants with outdoor seating allow dogs, so be sure to respect the establishment's wishes.
Any restaurant with outdoor seating has the potential to be dog-friendly, but only certain ones in
San Diego bill themselves as such. If you take your pooch out to eat with you, remember your dog-owner etiquette to keep these places welcoming pets. Dogs should be well-behaved, leashed and kept a polite distance from other patrons. Unless you know the restaurant provides them, bring food, water, and clean-up materials for your dog. And make sure your dog relieves himself before going out to eat.
Acqua Al 2
Some restaurants may provide special treats for their canine patrons.
Offering Tuscan-style dining in the Gaslamp District, Acqua Al 2's best features are its food and ambiance, similar to its sister restaurant in Florence, Italy. An average three-course meal runs $50 to $75 in 2010. The restaurant provides outdoor seating and lists itself as dog-friendly.

Georges on Fifth
Even if their manners are better than their human companion's, dogs shouldn't be allowed a seat at the table.
With Kobe beef on the menu, "G5" marks itself as a premier steak restaurant that also features seafood and entertainment. A popular celebrity spot, G5 is nonetheless friendly for children--they have a kids' menu--and dogs. A three-course meal averages $50 to $75 in 2010, and dogs are restricted to outdoor seating areas.
