The Royal Resort
The Royal
resort does not have the atmosphere of a typical
Las Vegas hotel. When most people think of a Las Vegas vacation, wild nights with loud music, high stakes gambling and heavy drinking on the Strip come to mind. The Royal Resort is within walking distance of the famous Strip, but when you are bundled up in your cozy hotel room the noise and debauchery of Las Vegas nightlife will seem a million miles away. The Royal Resort is a great place to stay if you enjoy the wild side of Las Vegas in small doses, but want the option to quickly escape to a more peaceful oasis.

Features
Dixie Dooley performs at The Royal Resort
The Royal Resort features a pool area with furnished private cabanas, a fitness center, free parking, 24-hour security, a pleasant lounge area, concierge service and an American diner called Cosmo's. This resort features free entertainment for guests four times per week. On Wednesday and Saturday nights, The Royal Resort hosts Dixie Dooley, The Magical Mystifier, and on Monday and Tuesday nights the hotel hosts Larry G. Jones, a singing impressionist and comedian. The guest rooms are very clean and have a mini fridge, balcony, television with HBO, coffee maker and safe. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive. Maid service is provided daily and guests can order room service 24 hours a day.
Pros and Cons
You can hear your neigbor showering.
The pros to staying at The Royal Resort are the price, welcoming staff and close proximity to the Strip without being in the heart the noisy Las Vegas night life. Room rates at The Royal Resort start at $70 per night, which is very reasonable when you consider that you are only a 10-minute walk from the Strip, where comparable hotels charge more than $100 per night. The front desk at The Royal Resort is managed by extremely polite employees who genuinely care about the hotel guests' comfort and satisfaction. Since the Strip is a few blocks away, you will not hear thumping music and screaming throngs of intoxicated party people throughout the night. However, don't expect perfect silence when you are trying to sleep, either. The con to staying at The Royal Resort is that the walls are very thin. Expect to hear your neighbors' televisions, conversations, showers and footsteps.
Bottom Line
Comfortable accommodations
The Royal Resort is well worth the price. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the Strip, but is far enough away from the 24-hour party scene to ensure that guests have time to relax and unwind in a peaceful atmosphere. The pool area and fitness room are well maintained, the rooms are kept clean, and the service is very high quality. Free entertainment is available in The Royal Resort's lounge area four nights per week and the on site diner is affordable and tasty. Overall, the amenities and location of The Royal Resort make this a good selection for guests seeking comfortable accommodations in Sin City.
