Romantic Things to Do in Orlando, Florida
When most people are asked about
Orlando their first thoughts are likely to turn to Disney World or Universal Studios. These parks, though great fun, may not be ideal if a little quiet time alone with a loved one is the priority. But for those seeking something more
romantic, Orlando can deliver.
Up, Up and Away
Orange Blossom Balloons gives those seeking the heights of love a chance to do so literally, by taking a hot air balloon ride over Orlando. Located relatively close to the Disney area, balloon flights take over an hour and conclude with a champagne toast and a breakfast of healthy proportion. As wind is a major factor while ballooning, expect an early morning. Most balloons are in the air by around 6:00 a.m. But this is more than made up for by the impressive view. Flights roughly cover about seven to ten miles and all pilots are licensed by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).

Moonlight Cruise
Those in the mood for romance can take a moonlight cruise on the St. Johns River. Rivership Romance offers many cruises, but it is the "Moonlight Cruise" that will be the most appealing to those seeking romance. The cruise starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday nights and returns to the dock in Sanford at 11:00 p.m. Guests are treated to hors d'oeuvres before being served dinner and there is a bar where cocktails can be purchased. Afterward, there is dancing for the fleet footed or, for those less inclined, a stroll can be taken topside as the moon reflects on the river.

Secluded Inn
Five minutes from Disney World, the Perri House Bed & Breakfast Inn is a suitable place to seek shelter from the storm of an otherwise busy tourist area. Sitting on 16 quiet acres of grass, landscaping and thick red oak trees, the inn is well situated to give those seeking time together a chance to do so in peace. Perri House consists of eight rooms, each furnished with either king-sized poster beds or queen-sized canopy beds as well as fireplaces. Rooms also offer free Internet, a safe and use of the outdoor pool. The property is set up with birds in mind and guests can borrow binoculars free of charge from the check-in desk. Birds can best be spotted on a walk through one of the meandering paths amidst the oak trees. With a little advance warning the inn can cater to those seeking romance by offering flowers and a vase to take home, as well as a candle and a bottle of wine.
