The W Hotel in
Atlanta is one of the most popular new hotels in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. Part of the Starwood Hotels family, the W Hotel is designed with contemporary furniture and décor. The upper floors of the hotel provide guests with unobstructed views of the Atlanta skyline, and many of the rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows so that guests will feel like they are outside while enjoying the beautiful views. The hotel offers a spa, as well as a full exercise room and excellent dining options.
Wows and Woes
The W provides excellent dining for guests, but the on-site restaurant doesn't serve new diners after 11 p.m., so guests may find that they need to enjoy dessert at the bar after hours. The rooms feature large, flat-panel televisions, and the bathrooms offer top-shelf toiletries.
Insider Tips
The check-out kiosk will let you securely print your boarding pass so you won't have to worry about it at the airport. Guests who have a last-minute craving for the unattainable can use the hotel's concierge service. It can get guests anything from last-minute skybox seats at a Braves game or a private dinner at the best restaurants in town. Also, pets are always welcome at the W Atlanta Downtown.
Most Memorable Moment
My husband is a die-hard Braves fan, and the concierge at the hotel was able to arrange skybox tickets for us with less than five hours' notice, and then a late dinner for us at Watershed, where the food was exceptionally good.
Bottom Line
The W Hotel in downtown Atlanta is an oasis of calm in the middle of the city. The hotel is new and treats its guests wonderfully.
