Located to the north of Sacramento in Lincoln, California, the Thunder Valley Casino opened in June 2004. It was the first native American casino in the Sacramento city area and provided residents with an alternative to the drive over the mountains to Reno. The food in the Feast Buffet is incredible, unlike the soggy overcooked dishes found in other casino buffets. It offered a wide variety of food. However, if you expect a high amount of bonus cash back in the mail, choose another casino. Newer casinos close to Sacramento offer a higher return incentive than Thunder Valley and have hotels on property.
