Review of the Polynesian in Wisconsin Dells

The indoor waterpark at the Polynesian
The Polynesian hotel and resort in Wisconsin Dells features two waterparks that make it the ideal spot for family travels. The indoor and outdoor waterparks have waterslides for children of all ages, some of which are two stories tall. They also have inner tube slides, water obstacle courses, water volleyball and basketball, and plain old pools to just relax. During the summer, the waterparks are open until 9 p.m.

The hotel has a bar and grille, arcade, fitness center and an indoor kids play area, giving children something to do after they dry off.
Wows and Woes

Wows: The waterparks have slides as far as the eye can see. The outdoor park is practically the same size as the hotel building.

Woes: The rooms are less than spectacular. They are all suites with plenty of space, but are dimly lit and have small televisions.

Insider Tips

Before you go, check the hotel's website. They have several special package deals for July through September that can keep prices down for the whole family.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

Because the hotel has a large indoor waterpark, thunderstorms in the middle of our trip did not have to stop us. The children kept on swimming, splashing and sliding like they were outside, regardless of the weather.

Bottom Line

Prices are pretty high, but again, the deals on the site can make it worthwhile and save guests some money.
