Review of the Orange Lake Resort in Orlando

Orange Lake Resort
Orange Lake Resort
Orange Lake resort in Orlando, Florida, is much more than just staying at your typical hotel. The resort goes above and beyond, providing entertainment and recreation for guests of all ages. Water's Edge is a kids super arcade located in the West Village area of the resort. Kids can also enjoy wildlife events, such as an alligator exhibit and nature walks. Basketball, tennis and racquetball courts are available for guests as well as a state-of-the-art fitness center. Guests can also enjoy one of the five pool areas, with kiddie pools, adult areas, bars and spas.
Wows and Woes

Wows: Visit the lazy river and private cabanas at River Island. Take advantage of Orange Lake's shuttle when traveling to the theme parks to avoid parking fees.

Woes: Avoid villas on the edge of the resort. The traffic on the main roads can be heard at night.

Insider Tips

Orange Lake is always holding special events throughout their peak seasons. Check online or with a receptionist when you check in for an events calendar. Events include pool parties, family events, kids shows and live entertainment. Most events are free to Orange Lake guests, which is an alternative to the pricey attractions in the Orlando area. For fun without the kids, check out Orange Lake's babysitting connections.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

While my family has never been a huge fan of golf, one year we went to our timeshare with some friends who were into the sport. Orange Lake was able to hook them up with an amazing golfing experience. With four courses on site, our friends were able to golf nearly every day. Thanks to Orange Lake, our guests were able to have a great time doing something they love.

Bottom Line

Orange Lake is great for guests who plan to spend time in their resort. With so much to do, it's almost a waste to not enjoy it all.
