Review of Kingsmill Resort

Kingsmill resort is located in Williamsburg, Virginia, just minutes from historic sites such as Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. It features a wide range of dining options as well as accommodations, ranging from hotel-like guestrooms to three-bedroom apartments. Kingsmill is a full amenity resort complete with golf, tennis, kids camps and a spa.
Wows and Woes

The prime location nestled between historic sites and amusement parks (Busch Gardens and Water Country U.S.A), as well as the variety of activities on the resort proper, warrant a Wow. The sprawling size can mean your room is a good hike or a short drive from resort dining and activities--a definite Woe for some.

Insider Tips

If you need apartment-style accommodations and don't want to walk, request lodging in one of the buildings closest to where the resort guest rooms are. These rooms are the closest to the spa and many of the restaurants.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

The strawberry shortcake desert at Bray Bistro is without a doubt one of the top 10 strawberry shortcakes I have ever consumed and will be permanently etched in memory. I recommend eating light on the day you plan on adding it to your menu selection because they serve a generous portion.

Bottom Line

Kingsmill Resort is an ideal place with something for everyone (especially golf enthusiasts) and plenty of room to spare, thanks to its 2900 acres.
