The Intercontinental in
Miami offers guests a beachfront view to go with its modern decor. The hotel features two restaurants, a Starbucks, a spa and health club, a swimming pool and a state-of-the-art business center. The hotel also has several meeting and business event areas, as well as a reception hall.
The spa at the hotel offers full service from massages to hydrotherapy to facials, all in a relaxed, tranquil setting. The rooms in the spa are all large and also have a large sauna area.
Wows and Woes
Wows: The rooms are clean, luxurious and spacious. All rooms come with a large window, many with a beach view, and a large television.
Woes: The pool was a bit small and barely decorated. In a warm setting such as Miami, you'd think more focus would be put on the pool.
Insider Tips
Enjoy a day at the spa. Whether you go to work out, get a massage or anything else, the spa is often overlooked by guests, but a true gem of this hotel.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
I just remember walking into my room and being blown away. I felt like I was in more of a Beverly Hills condo than a hotel room. The comfort and decor will keep me coming back to this hotel.
Bottom Line
The hotel is expensive, but it's worth the extra for it's proximity to Miami nightlife as well as the posh rooms.
