Review of Hotel Healdsburg in California

An elegant and contemporary boutique hotel on the edge of Healdsburg's town square, the Healdsburg Hotel combines sophistication and comfort. This high-end property has a luxury spa, elegant pool area, workout area, complimentary buffet breakfast and a critically-acclaimed restaurant on site. Guests also enjoy complimentary high-speed Internet and business services.
Wows and Woes

The super comfy platform beds are appointed with high-end linens and down comforters.

Warm your tired feet near the lobby fireplace while having a cocktail.

Guest rooms are short on lights, making bedtime reading difficult.

Wireless Internet is complimentary, but connections are spotty.

Insider Tips

Ask for a room or suite facing the courtyard to protect yourself from street noise. If relaxation is what you're after, you'll find privacy at the pool in the mornings, but make spa appointments well in advance to get the desired time and treatments. Enjoy a night inn by borrowing a DVD from the diverse, complimentary library and snuggle under the covers with a good flick.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

We experienced the ultimate luxury during our stay when we ordered dinner in and ate on our private balcony overlooking the courtyard. The sweet potato gnocchi melted in my mouth and chocolate-peanut butter bar was mouthwatering. The room service staff was excellent and we were able to savor this wonderful meal without interruption.

Bottom Line

The Hotel Healdsburg doesn't come cheap. The least expensive room is $275/night, though they do run specials. But if you want to be pampered, this is the place.
