Lobby of the Hermitage Hotel
The Hermitage Hotel offers 475 foot square foot rooms, much larger than typical guest rooms or suite options for their guests. With several dining options, visitors can choose between fine or casual dining, along with the option for 24-hour room service. Housekeeping services visit twice daily to assure that your room is always clean and stocked with anything you may need. The Hermitage Hotel also offers conference or banquet halls for weddings or business events.
Wows and Woes
Wows: The hotel is located within walking distance of bars, restaurants, the sommet center and the walking bridge that leads to LP field. They run great specials on low priced hotel rooms.
Woes: Downtown Nashville isn't the classiest spot in town. The area is very crowded during sporting events.
Insider Tips
If you're looking for something to do or not sure where to go, ask. The concierge is happy to suggest popular attractions and even help you find show tickets or dinner reservations. All the staff at the hotel has access to business size cards that have directions to some of the popular attractions in the area. The hotel also runs specials on "stay and play" packages that combine hotel and sporting/performing events tickets.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
Before moving to Nashville, I decided to visit the area with my family in order to decide if it was a good fit or not. Not knowing anything about the city itself, I was a bit lost when I checked into the hotel. The hotel staff was so helpful and accommodating, suggesting must-see attractions to meet the needs of the entire family but also offering suggestions to help us out as prospective residents.
Bottom Line
This hotel offers a five-star experience at a lower rate than nearby competitors. If you like to be in the center of everything, the Hermitage is a great choice.
