Wows and Woes
The Frenchmen Hotel is rich in history and character. It is near many New Orleans attractions. The hotel offers free breakfast with a wide selection choices such as cereals, grits, toast, oatmeal, coffee, orange juice and tea. The guest rooms are beautifully decorated; however, they are quite small and the maids do a mediocre job cleaning.
Insider Tips
Don't drive your car or even rent a car. Parking is terrible in New Orleans and the Frenchmen Hotel's parking lot is cramped an only accommodates about seven cars.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
I enjoyed my stay in New Orleans the food was amazing. I tried Gumbo for the first time. I was able to walk to the historic French Quarter with a Po'boy in my hand to admire the architecture, music and history. I went to Jackson Square to watch amazing street performers. I just felt so comfortable in New Orleans; I can't wait to go back again.
