Whitestone is a neighborhood in Queens
New York that sits on the banks of the East River. It was named for the rock in the water where the tides of the East River and the Long Island Sound meet. This is a community oriented neighborhood in Queens with the Louis Armstrong Historical House located here and Whitestone is also less than 30 minutes from Manhattan. Whether visiting family or just riding through this area, Whitestone has restaurants to satisfy hungry appetites and Queens has attractions such as parks and golfing.
White House Restaurant
White House Restaurant is a popular place for locals to eat and has been serving the area for more than 17 years. The family environment inside the restaurant helps to make guests feel at home while dining on prime rib, seafood, steaks and blackened dishes. The White House also serves sandwiches, appetizers and entrees such as Yankee pot roast and angel hair pasta. This restaurant is open for lunch, dinner and has a Sunday brunch. The White House offers catering, has a full bar with daily specials and Tuesday and Wednesday specials for ladies and senior citizens. This is a good choice for dining after a day golfing in the Queens/Whitestone area.

Takara Sushi
Takara Sushi is an elegant, small, quiet sushi restaurant in Whitestone. The staff at this restaurant prides itself in hospitality as much as it prides itself with serving fresh sushi dishes. The menu has sushi rolls such as the dragon roll, red dragon, green dragon and California roll, and serves sashimi, soba and tempura. Japanese noodles, salmon soup and hamachi kama yellowtail cheek are also popular dishes on the menu and a new addition is a sushi bar on a conveyor belt. More Than Pizza is a casual dining experience. This Italian restaurant serves pizza, pasta and extras. Some of the extras available are baked clams, buffalo wings, meatballs, fresh salads and homemade soups. More Than Pizza also serves pasta dishes such as penne a la vodka, rigatoni bolognese, tortellini with alfredo sauce, baked ziti, baked manicotti and baked spinach ravioli.
