Enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, bird-watching and swimming. Or take a stroll through some of the local museums, art galleries or interesting shops found throughout the valley. Then head to one of the Irish restaurants and pubs to enjoy some traditional dishes and a pint of brew to rejuvenate for your next activity.
Rory Dolans Restaurant & Bar
Open for lunch and dinner as well as weekend brunch, this stylish restaurant offers upscale dining inside or casual outdoor patio dining during warmer weather. You also can order from the bar menu. The menu features traditional favorites such as steak and mushroom pie, corned beef sandwiches, fish and chips and Irish sausages with mashed potatoes. You also can choose from entrees including pasta, burgers, beef and sandwiches. Make sure you look at the drink menu--it features two dozen draft beers as well as a dozen bottled beers including Guinness Stout and Harp Lager. Reservations are suggested for the dining room, but not required otherwise.

JC Fogarty's
Walk into this restaurant with its dark mahogany wood and Irish green-stained glass, and you'll feel as if you stepped into an upscale Irish pub and restaurant back in Dublin. Open for lunch and dinner, try one of the house specialties such as shepherd's pie, lamb stew or beer battered chicken or shrimp. For dinner, you'll find a full menu starting with a variety of seafood appetizers such as Irish smoked salmon. For your entrée, choose from seafood, chicken and steaks. Take a look at the wine list, which features a list of red and white wines to accompany your meal. The pub features its own menu including traditional favorites such as bangers and mash and beer battered fish and chips. Reservations are not required.
