Wantagh is a town located in Nassau County,
New York. It is located near Long Island's popular Jones
beach State Park, earning it the moniker "The Gateway to Jones Beach." Wantagh has numerous restaurants to choose from; all of which offer different types of food.
Hemingway's American Bar and Grill
Hemingway's American Bar and Grill serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. It is open very late for those who want a post midnight snack. Originally a clothing store, Hemingway's serves steaks and seafood such as sea bass and tuna. Diners can choose to eat downstairs in the traditional dining room or upstairs near a fireplace. On Sundays, Hemingway's also offers a buffet brunch. As of 2010, typical entrees for dinner range between $15 to 20.

Spasso's Pizzeria
For those looking for pizza, Spasso's Pizzeria is a popular choice. Open since 2004, Spasso's was the winner of the best overall in the Long Island Pizza Contest. Spasso's also represented the United States in World Pizza Competition in Milan in 2006. Spasso's is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Besides pizza, Spasso's menu offers a full range of Italian favorites from hero sandwiches to calzones to pasta specials. As of 2010, a large pizza costs $13 while a sandwich costs about $8. Entrees are closer to $20.

Thom Thom Steak and Sushi is a more upscale restaurant that offers a metropolitan décor. The menu is a mix of steaks and sushi. Headed by chef David Salony, Thom Thom offers everything from a filet mignon to a 24 oz. porterhouse. For those looking for sushi, Thom Thom offers full sushi dinners and a variety of hand rolls. Thom Thom is open seven days a week.
