The Carriage House
Visitors to Sullivan County may opt for accommodations at the Carriage House in the town of Barryville. This establishment offers two dining venues, and you do not need to be a hotel guest to dine on-site. Main dining room entrees include lemon pepper chicken, Wiener schnitzel, grilled filet mignon and traditional Hungarian goulash with spaetzle. Dinners are served with salads; appetizers are available. Wines are served by the glass and bottle. For more casual fare, try the hotel's grill, serving dishes including grilled portobello, Delaware cheese steak, chicken wrap and a mozzarella panini. Try appetizers such as stuffed breaded mushrooms, calamari, smoked salmon and Buffalo wings. Grill menu options may not be available in the main dining room. The grill features a full bar; outside seating is also available. The main dining room serves dinner seven nights a week plus lunch on Sundays; the grill serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. Dress in casual attire for both.

The Chocolate Mousse Cafe and Bakery
Travelers with a sweet tooth will enjoy taking a break to relax and refuel at the Chocolate Mousse Cafe and Bakery. Serving breakfast, lunch and early dinner Sunday through Thursday (late-night dinner Friday and Saturday), the Mousse offers guests a choice of traditional bakery fare or heartier options. If you're just starting your day, select from breakfast items such as omelets, pancakes, scrambled eggs, crepes, French toast and breakfast sandwiches. Crepes are also featured on the lunch menu, with the grilled chicken salad crepe, mushroom & Swiss cheese crepe and the Barryville crepe. Any panini and wrap on the Mousse's menu may also be made into a crepe by request. Wraps, quesadillas, salads and soups round out the menu. Of course, the bakery also offers tempting items such as Oreo cheesecake, tiramisu, crumb cakes, Italian ice cream and the bakery's namesake, chocolate mousse. The restaurant is housed in the Spring House Commons bed-and-breakfast accommodations, but diners need not be a hotel guest. No alcohol is served, and the attire is casual.
