The neighborhood of South Boston is southeast of the center or the city and abuts Old Harbor and Dorchester Bay. Junction

A local favorite, Junction resides at the corner of Dorchester Street and Broadway. Named by Improper Bostonian magazine as South Boston's best bar the Junction has an expansive menu of pub food favorites to choose from. Their "Drunken Mussels" are fresh Prince Edward Isle mussels steamed in beer and served with garlic thyme shallots and tomato. The Junction's 14-ounce prime rib is marinated in Guinness stout and served with homemade mashed potatoes and a house vegetable medley.

Stadium's Old Colony Avenue bar and grill in South Boston is one of three Massachusetts locations for this popular New England franchise. Amrheins was voted Best of Boston by Boston magazine for its elaborate brunches and cozy interior, which includes a robust hand carved bar that serves cocktails to order.
