According to the 2000 U.S. Census, Bedminster, New Jersey, has a population of 8,302. The township was created by Britain in 1749, and until its merger with SBS Communications, AT&T made its headquarters there. This is one of seven "Offices" opened by Charlie Brown. With its 60 beers, either on tap or in bottles, it is a great place to kick back and watch your favorite game on a wide-screen television, or, because it has Internet access, bring your laptop and use it to your heart's content. If you should get hungry along the way, order a meal off of the menu, which changes frequently. Favorites of the regulars are the barbecued ribs that are slow-roasted until they fall off the bone, then glazed with Arrogant Bastard BBQ Sauce and served with seasoned French fries and coleslaw. If you feel like beef, order the grilled hanger steak on a bed of caramelized onions topped with Café de Paris butter and served with seasoned fries.

The Publick House Restaurant, Bar and Inn
In the 1990s, the Publick House was meticulously restored from having been a tavern and a hotel since 1810. This historic beauty now offers what the locals consider very good food, and it has become an ideal destination for both families and others looking for a good meal. The menu is rather lengthy and offers such dishes as two jumbo crab cakes served with lemon butter, vegetables and starch of the day or chicken breast with asparagus, sun-dried tomato and mozzarella in a white wine sauce. And, if you have a hankering for beef, there's a grilled New York strip steak that's crusted with cracked pepper and served with whole roasted shitake mushrooms and cherrie demi-glase, or boneless short ribs served in a demi glace sauce and polenta.

Bernards Inn
Bernards Inn combines the comfort of 20 well-appointed overnight accommodations with some of the best food in the area.
