beaches, Keansburg Amusement Park, the historic Count Basie Theater and Monmouth Park and Freehold Raceway race courses along with dozens of other attractions. Monmouth County also boasts restaurants with a variety of cuisines and styles that give visitors a place to relax and unwind no matter what part of the county they are visiting.
Jimmy's Italian Restaurant
Jimmy's Italian Restaurant has been opened since 1982 and is a family-friendly, dressy-casual restaurant with comfortable booths, upholstered chairs, linen on the tables and plush carpets on the floor. The color scheme is bright with shades of gold and brown. The cuisine is Italian with a mix of American and the menu features linguine with broccoli rabe and sausage, fettucini Alfredo, pasta Vincenzo with gaeta olives and capers, sole almondine, stuffed sole oregantao, stuffed lobster, boneless chicken breast sauteed with white wine and mushrooms, chicken cutlet parmigiana, veal Marsala, filet mignon with crabmeat, asparagus and a bearnaise sauce and French rack of lamb. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner six days a week and is closed on Thursday.

Rooney's Oceanfront Restaurant
Rooney's Oceanfront Restaurant has been opened since 1995 and is situated right on the Atlantic shore. The restaurant and bar have a warm, casual and comfortable feel and style. Outdoor dining is available on the ocean view patio in warmer weather. The cuisine is a mix of Italian and American with a heavy focus on seafood. The menu features chicken penne, shrimp scampi, grilled chicken Milano, grilled pork chop Murphy, 14 oz. NY strip steak, fried fisherman's platter, baked salmon on cedar plank, seafood risotto and Alaskan king crab legs. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

David Burke Fromagerie
David Burke Fromagerie is in a Victorian building and has a formal, dressy style and atmosphere and the cuisine is an eclectic mix of styles where the chef has put his own spin on each selection. The menu features lobster and chicken carbonara, seared diver scallops and prawns with lap chung sausage and duck fried rice, steamed red snapper, duck, duck, duck (which is seared duck breast, foie gras dumpling and duck meatloaf) handmade cavatelli and braised short rib, veak steaj picatta and venison steak au poivre. The restaurant is open for lunch on Friday, brunch on Sunday and for dinner six days a week, closed on Monday.
