High Falls is a small town near the Hudson River, about 90 miles north of Manhattan. With a population of just over 600, High Falls is an attractive destination for city dwellers who want to escape the busy activity of urban life. Guests can learn about the area's history at the Canal Museum or simply enjoy the historic architecture and lush natural scenery. High Falls also offers several restaurants where visitors can enjoy a meal and a glass of beer or wine.
Depuy Canal House
Depuy Canal House is a small restaurant housed in a historic building in High Falls. Guests can peer down into the kitchen from the balcony, or enjoy a cocktail while admiring original artwork in the restaurant's cellar bar, Chefs on Fire. Appetizers include foie gras, broccoli rabe with mozzarella cheese and salad stuffed avocados. Guests can choose from entrees such as salmon filet with couscous, duck confit and mac and cheese. Chefs on Fire focuses on more casual fare, including selections such as nachos, Panini and quesadillas. The bar menu also features several vegetarian and vegan options.

The Egg's Nest
The Egg's Nest is located in a building formerly used as the Reformed Dutch Church of Clove's parsonage. This restaurant serves Southwestern United States influenced dishes, as well as sandwiches and burgers. There are also numerous vegetarian options on the menu. Appetizers include chicken fingers, stuffed mushrooms, calamari and British-style chips with malt vinegar. The menu features entrees such as veggie burgers with roasted red pepper mayo, chili, pesto beef rolls and praeseux, a tortilla crust topped with cheese, meat and vegetables.

High Falls Cafe is a bar and restaurant that serves casual fare and offers acoustic live music. The menu features starters such as hummus, calamari, grilled tofu, chili and quesadillas. Entrees include rib-eye steak, pork medallions, blackened Creole salmon and chicken saltimbocca. Guests can choose from other options such as burgers, grilled tuna sandwiches, linguine and veal parmigiana. Vegetarians can substitute a veggie burger for any beef burger. This restaurant also offers a full bar serving beer, wine and specialty cocktails.
