Located 40 minutes south of the picturesque city of Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, treats its visitors with the magnificent views of rocky mountains, lakes and rivers. It also has a lot to offer in terms of leisurely and sports activities such as skiing, fishing and kayaking. When it comes to gastronomical adventures, Glenwood Springs is home to restaurants that easily rival those in the nearby cities of Aspen and Vail, two of the top winter destinations in the country.
Juicy Lucy's Steakhouse
Chef David Zumwinkle and his wife Cece, who named Juicy Lucy's after their daughter, own this restaurant. The steakhouse prides itself on offering an assortment of Sterling beef, elk, lamb and seafood dishes with fresh, local ingredients. Although the restaurant does not offer delivery service, its clean and modern interior as well as its award-winning wine selection provides locals and visitors with a reason to venture out to the steakhouse.

Glenwood Canyon Brewing Company
Built in 1996, the locally-known Glenwood Canyon Brewpub is located right in the middle of Hotel Denver along 7th Street. Italian Underground Restaurant
The Italian Underground Restaurant, situated along Grand Avenue, is a favorite among locals and tourists. This means the restaurant is fairly busy at times, but its excellent Italian cuisine, cozy interior and casual ambiance make the wait for a table worthwhile. However, the restaurant does not accept reservations, so you may find a queue outside its doors from opening to closing time. Despite its bustling atmosphere---which is not suitable for a quiet, leisurely dinner date---the complimentary salad and ice cream that come with every dinner entrée beckons to visitors year-round.
