Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, is a small town along the Jersey shore that overlooks lower
New York Bay. The area's tourist attractions include First Avenue Playhouse, Strauss Mansion and Mount Mitchell Scenic Overlook Park, a 226-feet natural elevation that offers views of the New York skyline and hosts a children's playground. Julia's Restaurant & Wine Bar
Julia's Restaurant & Wine Bar offers fine dining in an upscale atmosphere. The Mediterranean-inspired dinner menu boasts appetizers such as house-made mozzarella cheese rolled with roasted peppers, fresh basil and prosciutto and graham cracker-encrusted fried calamari. Soups include butternut squash soup and bean and escarole soup, and salads on the menu include roasted asparagus salad, baby arugula salad and spinach and chicken salad tossed in strawberry vinaigrette. Entree selections include imported Italian cheese-stuffed rigatoni, filet mignon tips served in peppercorn-brandy cream sauce, pan-seared diver scallops, char grilled lobster tails and Maryland-style jumbo lump crab cakes. Copper Canyon Restaurant offers upscale, Southwestern-style fine dining in a refined, elegant atmosphere. Weekday lunch menu items include mixed seafood ceviche, smoked salmon nachos, tuna Carpaccio, ancho pepper-grilled baby lamb chops, pepper and garlic-seasoned steak fajitas and shredded chicken and black bean tostadas.
