Just off the island of Atlantic City, New Jersey sits the small town of Absecon. Absecon falls off the radar of most tourists, but locals know it has great fishing spots, charming inns and a number of great restaurants. Absecon, like the rest of South Jersey has a very diverse range of eating establishments. Patrons dine on the freshest catch-of-the-day seafood, amazing pizza and subs, authentic Italian cuisine and classic Chinese dishes.
China Sea of Absecon
China Sea serves cuisine native to three regions of China---Mandarin, Szechuan and Hunan. The family-owned restaurant has offered patrons a MSG-free dining experience since 1995. China Sea of Absecon offers dine-in service, carryout and delivery. Menu items include vegetarian dishes such as bean curd with mixed vegetables, General Tso's shrimp (a China Sea specialty) and gluten-free Hunan pork. China Sea accepts all major credit cards and offers delivery service as well.

Vic's Sub Shop
Vic's doesn't have the name recognition of Atlantic City's White House Sub Shop, but locals know Vic's subs taste every bit as good as White House...some would say even better. Vic's small Absecon establishment has been serving delicious cheesesteaks, Italian subs and other classic Jersey shore subs for many years. Vic's opens for lunch and dinner. Vic's offers eat-in (very little seating), delivery, carryout and catering. As of January 2010, the majority of meals at Vic's cost under $10 and diners can pay with most major credit cards.

Joe and John's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria
It has a long name, but locals just call it Joe and John's. Anyone that loves authentic New York-style pizza will love Joe and John's. Most reviews give the restaurant four to five stars. Joe and John's serves traditional Italian dishes but the restaurant's pizza steals the show. The restaurant offers both eat-in and carryout service and also accepts most major credit cards. Die-hard New York-style pizza fans must try the classic cheese pie.
