Renaissance Cleveland Hotel Review

The spacious guest room at the Renaissance
The spacious guest room at the Renaissance
The elegant Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland has a number of amenities, but the true selling point of the hotel is the luxurious rooms. The rooms features Internet access and desks for business travelers, large windows, a living area with chairs or couches. Rooms overall are spacious, so guests never feel cramped. The hotel also plays host to a 24-hour fitness center and an indoor pool. There are two on-site restaurants at the hotel. One is Sans Souci, a Mediterranean restaurant. The other is Brasserie, a continental breakfast and lunch spot.
Wows and Woes

Wows: I stayed in the smallest of the rooms (a single king bed guest room) and it still looked like a luxury suite compared to other hotels I've been in.

Woes: I had a lot of trouble with mistakes on my bill with the front desk staff.

Insider Tips

The hotel restaurants are good, but the "House of Blues" is just a short cab ride away. The service, atmosphere and food at this restaurant is phenomenal. Even if you're only at the Renaissance for a night, it's worth a trip.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

The best part of my stay was being so comfortable in my hotel that we ordered room service one night for dinner despite being surrounded by fantastic restaurants. I opted to stay in my room and enjoy Brasserie's food in my own bed instead of exploring the city I was visiting.

Bottom Line

The regular rooms are reasonably priced, but the suites are considerably more expensive.
