Providence Steak Restaurants

Located in downtown Providence, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse is on the lower level of the Westin Residential Tower. It is near Dunkin' Donuts Center and the Providence Performing Arts Center. This upscale restaurant serves U.S.D.A. prime beef, fresh seafood, traditional New England appetizers and an array of salads. Awarded the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2009, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse has over 100 choices of wine by the glass. Ruth's Chris Steak House

Part of a national restaurant chain, Ruth's Chris Steak House is located in Providence's Capital Center district. The original Chris Steak House was bought by Ruth Fertel in 1965, and Ruth's success eventually led to over 100 restaurants under the Ruth's Chris franchise. Open daily for dinner, Ruth's Chris serves U.S.D.A. prime cut beef. The menu includes all the expected steak choices like filet, rib-eye, T-bone, New York sirloin and Porterhouse, as well as seafood and a full array of appetizers and soups.

Providence Prime

As the name suggests, this Providence steakhouse also serves only top-quality U.S.D.A. prime cut beef. With elegant decor, a cozy fireplace and stylish bright red bar stools, Providence Prime is one of the city's upscale dining venues. The menu includes a variety of steak dishes including New York sirloin, steak tips Diane and filet mignon. For a lighter dinner some bar food options, including burgers and sandwiches, are available. The menu also features seafood dishes and entree salads. Although Providence Prime has over 300 varieties of wine, the restaurant usually offers a weekly BYOB night. As of 2010, a fixed-price three-course menu cost $30, and most steak dishes ranged between $20 and $40.
